How To Screenshot On Your Smartphone Easily

The process of collecting screenshots on an Android phone will vary from one device to the next.

I’ll run over the steps involved in getting screenshots for a few well-known companies in this order:

Samsung phones

  • Galaxy S8 and subsequent models: While holding down the power button, simultaneously press and hold the volume-down button.
  • For Galaxy S7 and older models, press and hold the power and home buttons simultaneously for a few seconds.

Acer mobile devices

  • Keep holding down the power button as well as the volume-down button for a few seconds.
  • You may access fast settings by bringing down the notification panel. Once there, touch the Screenshot icon.

Phones made by Asus

  • Keep holding down the power button as well as the volume-down button for a few seconds.
  • You may access fast settings by bringing down the notification panel. Once there, touch the Screenshot icon.

Google phones

  • Nexus: Keep your fingers pressed firmly on the power and volume-down buttons for a few seconds.
  • Pixels: To access the developer options, press and hold the power button as well as the volume-down button for a few seconds.

HTC mobile phones

  • To turn on your HTC U12+, first press and hold the power button until your phone begins to vibrate. Next, push the virtual home button located on the menu bar while you are still holding down the power button.
  • For devices in the HTC U series (up to and including the U12+), press and hold the power button as well as the volume-down button for a few seconds.
  • On the HTC 10, you need to either press and hold the home button and the power button OR press and hold the power button and the volume-down button for a few seconds.
  • All other HTC mobile devices: Keep holding down the power button as well as the volume-down button for a few seconds.

  • To take a screenshot, pull down the notification panel, choose Shortcuts from the menu, and then hit the icon.

Lenovo

  • Keep holding down the power button as well as the volume-down button for a few seconds.
  • You may take a screenshot by bringing down the notification panel and tapping the icon there.

LG phones

  • To factory reset your LG G7, press and hold the power button as well as the volume-down button for a few seconds.
  • All other LG mobile devices: Maintain pressure on the power button, which is found on the rear of the phone, as well as the volume-down button for a few seconds.
  • To access the Capture+ icon, bring down the notification panel on your device.

Motorola phones

  • Keep holding down the power button as well as the volume-down button for a few seconds.

OnePlus phones

  • All OnePlus phones: Maintaining simultaneous pressure on the power and volume-down keys for a few seconds should reset the device.
